French and english version.   Le 26 novembre, la ville de Santos, sur la côte de Sao Paulo, a accueillit la 3 eme étape du championnat brésilien de BMX freestyle, discipline flatland. C'est de Santos que vient l'un des plus grands athletes Bresiliens de tous les temps, le roi du football "Pelé". Un autre habitant de la ville sort aussi du lot étant l'un des principaux flatlanders du Bresil. Sérgio Ricardo "BALU", a gagné le contest. Même s'il a quelques points de retard dans le classement, s'il gagne la prochaine competition en février 2007 -qui est aussi la finale- il pourrait remporter le premier titre officiel de la discipline. Le prix etant offert par la CBC - la federation brésilienne de cyclisme.   La 3eme etape du championat bresilien a revelé plusieurs jeunes talents et a montré que les riders bresiliens atteignent un bon niveau technique en bmx. Gustavo Dias, du site BMX press et du CBC a déclaré "notre objectif, quand nous organisions le championnat étaient de motiver de nouveaux pilotes, pour promouvoir la discipline du flat et faire progresser le niveau technique des athletes, pour que, dans le future, nous puissions promouvoir des competitions au niveau international, ici au Bresil. C'est tres gratifiant de savoir que ce fut un succes! Parmis les principales battles de la journée, les performances de Bruno Morotti "Zebu" (Penapiolis City) qui a terminé en 4eme position et celle de Rafael Araùjo "Barata" (Sao Vincente city), tout deux furent battu par Balu, apres avoir fait preuve d'un esprit de competitivité et avoir sorti des link sensationels.   Marcos Vinicus "Carretel" (Ribeirao Preto City) - qui a recu le surnom de CARRETEL - c'est à dire debobiné parce que lorsqu'on parle de ses links,"c'est long" revient souvent. trop de choses dans la presentation des links -, il est l'un des plus talentueux nouveaux et a fini à la 3eme place. La plus grande surprise des epreuves, fut l'elimination du champion Rômulo Jacinto Guerra "Bixcoito" (Biscoito = biscuit) de Rio De Janiro. Bixcoito a remporté les 2 etapes précédentes (Brasilia et Sao Paulo) et de nombreux fans croyaient en sa victoire à Santos. Mais Bixcoito, distrait, a fini par etre eliminé par le jeune et talentueux athlete Hilton Moura "Peron" (Embu of Arts City) - au bresil, les qualifications se font sous formes de duel. L'elimination de Bixcoito a beneficié a l'athlete Luis dos Santos "Arroz" (arroz = riz) venant de la ville de Serra, qui a fini en 2eme position et qui est devenu le leader du classement.   Il ne reste plus qu'une étape pour élire le champion du Bresil 2006 et la competion décisive se deroulera à Rio de Janeiro, en février. Le classement en ce moment est : Arroz 19 point, Bixoito 18 points, Balu 14 et Zebu 11, les quatre peuvent toujours remporter la victoire, tout dependra de ce qui se passera en fevrier. L'année 2007 promet d'etre tres bonne pour le BMX freestyle au bresil. A part le CBC - le lien le plus large et le plus organisé du cyclisme dans le pays (reconnu par le COI - international Olympic Committee et pour UCI Union cycliste nternationale) il y a aussi une petite association ABBMX, qui est tres active et qui a fait la promotion de bonnes competitions en dirt en street et en park. Gustavo du CBC nous a informé que "en octobre il y aurait un evenement à Salao Duas Rodas à Sao Paulo et qu'il y aurait la-bas une grande competition de flatlland (II Copa Brasil de BMX Freestyle). Il y aura un price money et les athletes ainsi que les oraganisateurs se preparent à recevoir des competiteurs etrangers. Tous sont les bienvenus et nous leurs reservons un trés bon accueil. Ceux qui prevoient de venir au brésil pour concourir au mois d'octobre participerons à un événement inoubliable.
